After pulling my hair out trying to use Ackley, our required nursing school book to write POC's, I decided to take a chance and buy Gulanick's book. Glad I did! I enjoy putting the plans together now. It is much easier, and is organized in a way that makes sense. I loan it to my classmates who are struggling. T BernsteinBy Patricia A. Millis
I bought the Kindle edition after borrowing the hard copy version from my university's library. I expected to be able to copy & paste directly into my care plans from it. However, only a few sections of each nursing diagnosis (like the definition & description) can be copy & pasted - the others, like Assessments, Therapeutic Interventions & all Rationales are NOT text, but instead embedded pictures. Also, for some inane reason these pictures are shrunken down from the hard copy book to only occupy 1/3 of each page in the Kindle Cloud Reader & are nearly impossible to read on a 17" laptop at 1366x768 resolution. It takes way too long to type these into my care plan when I'm literally squinting to read each word. Its a shame, because the information is good, but I don't want to carry around a 10 pound book & I want to be able to copy, paste & edit the information into my careplan.By Amazon Customer
If you go to the Evolve website, you can buy their version of the eBook for four bucks more than the Kindle version, & its all 100% copy & pastable.
