If I had time to actually READ it, I am sure I would love this book. I will say from skimming through it to read over specific topics, it explains and illustrates them very well. I have used it more as a supplement to my class lectures than for day to day reading.

I thought this book was excellent at covering the maternity material. The wording wasn't too
superficial and the various visuals and boxes helped with focusing the
information into the nursing perspective. There were many times in my readings where I would
look at the detailed nursing care plan in the text
in order to really comprehend the text. I also liked how the author inserts a
box in the text depicting various evidence-based practice
studies and their conclusions.

Overall, this book is excellent and a real keeper.
