Tintinalli's was a "go to" emergency medicine reference during my training years over a decade ago...

I purchased the 7th edition in it's Kindle form a month ago; and am happy with its content.

It is a formidable reference, over 2000 pages in its printed form. Such a vast reference really needs an index, especially if it is to be used at the point of care by an overworked clinician.

In electronic form, the index exists without hyperlinks or page location markers, making this reference unsearchable by this method.

I would give 5 stars if its index was hyperlinked, but for now I can't give it more than 3.

The content is fantastic. This is a review about the Kindle version.

This ebook is impossible to navigate. At a reasonable text size on my iPad, the Table of Contents is spaced over 35 pages. There are spaces between each chapter heading and the authors' names for each chapter are listed in the Table of Contents. It takes a very long time to flick through the Table of Contents to find what you're looking for.

There is no indication of which section or chapter of the book you are in at the top of each page. It just has the authors' names and the title of the book. Not helpful.

A tight, concise Table of Contents and some references to whereabouts in the book a page is, would be fantastic. At the moment, an enormous amount of time is wasted trying to work out where you are.
