I'm an LPN finishing my RN. I have a lot of retained knowledge from my skills I practice at work but there is the technicality that I struggle with. The textbook gets so wordy that I find it hard to concentrate on the material. This book helps me tremendously. There is a pre-test before the chapter, the chapter then breaks the material down to what it is, symptoms, treatments, interventions, goals, nursing dx, etc. Then there is a post-test. I found several of the actual test questions to come from these pre and post tests and the tests on the CD. This book helped me attain my A's in med-surg. I highly recommend to anyone struggling with the drawn out standard textbooks.By J. Marie
