great book. Great updates. Really enjoy the ultrasound correlation to all the old procedures we used to do with landmark. A lot of updated and better photographed step by steps to the procedures. Bought this on kindle and really helps out to teach residents and to provide a refresher when doing familiar but less commonly performed procedures at work.

I had to plan some education for our ED providers on pacing wire insertion and this book was a tremendous help. The medical director of our ED loved the accompanying videos on pacing that you can access online and has had the providers view them. I did not know at the time I got it that the book is part of our e-holdings at our medical library but it is good to have a hard copy of it when the internet is not cooperating! My only complaint is that it is heavy but that is because it is packed full of great info that can also help the nurses. I am an ED clinical educator so anything that helps the RNs understand those infrequent procedures they have to assist with is very appreciated. I have the standard ED nursing references as well as the AACN procedure manual but this book has better illustrations, the ability to view the procedures on video, and is very comprehensive. It is also pricier than both the ENA and AACN books combined but the info in it is fantastic whether you are looking for background info on advances in airway management for an ACLS class or your ED has just gotten waveform capnography, which we did within the past year. I recommend this book highly.
