REVIEW OF CURRENT EDITION:
"The latest edition of this book continues a fine tradition set down by the previous ones published in 1994 & 1999. The book is divided into two overall parts - Radiographic Theory and Equipment & Radiographic Positioning. The first part on Theory and Equipment provides readers with a review of the physics of x-rays along with a review of the typical equipment and its operation. Many radiology books have deleted these sections so it is nice to see this material still in print. The layout of these chapters makes them useful to the vet tech in training as well the practicing tech in a hospital setting. The final section on positioning is based on the typical small animals found in a typical practice. But this does not detract from this book being worthwhile for a technician (or vet) working in a zoo setting. There are no short comings in this book - the quality and price continues to make this a first choice for veterinarian technicians needing a textbook or reference for their career."
